Every moment of our life can be the beginning of great things
— Joseph Pilates
Angie is a great instructor! I have seen a big improvement in my overall strength and have learned how to engage the right muscles for the exercises vs cheating my way through a class so that it’s easier. She continues to challenge me with new poses and harder moves, and I always look forward to a tough workout with her!

I work with Angelica since November of last year and have nothing but great appreciation of her patience, attitude and understanding of my needs. She is knowledgable and friendly, pays very close attention to my movements, immediately notices and quickly corrects mistakes. She is good in explaining how to do exercises right, how to control muscles and what to do outside of training sessions to achieve better results. I noticed significant improvements in my posture and reduced tightness in my shoulders and neck - two major reasons I started Pilates in the first place.

Angie is an excellent Pilates instructor. She’s sensitive, kind, encouraging, knowledgeable and passionate about this type of therapy. She’s also very patient and knows just when to push me a bit and when to allow me to rest, because she is present to her clients. Her entire focus during a session is on me getting stronger and better. Since I have been doing Pilates with Angie, my core is getting stronger and and my overall vitality is improving...and I’m just getting started. I’m am very excited to continue Pilates with Angie because my body is transforming for the better!

I started Pilates with Angie 2 years ago as a beginner and have been with her ever since. She pays careful attention to form and corrects immediately if I’m doing something wrong. I’ve learned there is no way to “cheat” when your in a session with Angie. I also like that she splits session time between the reformer and the mat. This way every session is a bit different. Let’s just say Angie is such a great Pilates teacher that I now drive 1 hour each weekend to have a session with her.

Outstanding. 2 plus years and every workout challenges me to grow a little. Her eye for detail and focus is amazing. I love every session She tactfully corrects and encourages me. Couldn’t ask for more

One of the first questions I ask my students is “why are you here?”, so I’d expect you to want to know the same for me.  I am dedicated to helping people heal from the inside out and my mission is to end human suffering.

For the past decade, I've been fully immersed in the world of Pilates, serving the vibrant community here in the Chicagoland area. But my journey didn't start on the Pilates mat, it began on the dance floor. From street dancing to Mexican Ballet Folklorico, my love for movement runs deep. It was during my dance studies at Columbia College - Chicago that I discovered the transformative potential of Pilates.

I vividly recall the moments when I watched my Pilates mentors guide students with simple cues, witnessing their bodies realign and transform before my eyes. That's when I knew I had to dive deeper into this practice. My teaching approach combines Pilates principles with insights from my dance background, creating a holistic, integrative approach that strengthens the mind-body connection.

But here's where it gets exciting. In addition to my Pilates expertise, I've delved into the world of Nervous System Integration Facilitation (NSIF) and the Polyvagal Theory. By integrating NSIF along with movement, and whole foods nutrition through my partnership with Purium, I empower my students to tap into their body's innate wisdom and healing potential.

NSIF isn't just about self regulating or calming down, it's about understanding the profound connection between our mental state and our overall well-being. Befriending our nervous system allows for more awareness, which allows for space to be created to shift or expand on what we are experiencing. Through targeted techniques and practices, we can tune the nervous system, reduce stress, and unlock greater resilience and vitality so we can deal with life in a more ease-ful way.

It's this holistic approach involving Mindset (NSIF work), Movement (Pilates), & Nutrition (regenerative foods) towards wellness that truly lights me up. Seeing my students not only strengthen their bodies but also transform their relationship with themselves and their health – that's what it's all about for me.
